Joseph Castelli, M.D.

Dr. Castelli practiced in Tennessee for eight years before joining Associates in Women's Health Care in 2009. He has been board certified since 2003 and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Outside the office, Dr. Castelli enjoys hiking, skiing, cooking, running, and spending time with his wife, Susan, and their two children, Maggie and Cate.

Susan Czelusta, CNM

Susan Czelusta was born and raised in California. After serving in the U.S. Air Force, she attended Saint Louis University to pursue her passion in healthcare. She spent five years as a labor and delivery nurse before attending Frontier Nursing University to become a Certified Nurse-Midwife. She loves providing patient-centered care and being a part of a woman’s birth experience. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, skiing, and traveling. She is thrilled to be joining Associates in Women’s Health Care.

Kristin Kruse, M.D.

Dr. Kruse was raised in Colorado Springs, CO. After four years of practice at Camp Lejuene Naval Hospital in North Carolina, she returned to Southern Colorado in 2001 and joined her current practice in Associates in Women's Health Care. She enjoys the small city life of Pueblo and spends most of her free time with her husband and two daughters.

Fernando Mahmoud, M.D.

Dr. Mahmoud was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He moved to the United States in 2004, where he completed his training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mercy Hospital in Chicago IL.

Dr. Mahmoud has earned several awards during his training including "Special resident in minimally invasive gynecology" and an award from the Society of Laparoendoscopic surgeons, for his achievements during training. He also has experience working abroad and did a postgraduate training in Reproductive Medicine and Biology at the School of Medicine in Geneva Switzerland, sponsored by the World Health Organization.
Dr. Mahmoud is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Mahmoud joined Associates in Women's Health Care in 2011. Since then he has become certified in Robotic surgery. He enjoys delivering babies and helping his patients through all the stages of life.

Outside the office he enjoys cross fit, soccer, and spending time with his family.

Jennifer Roberts, MS, CNM

Jennifer, who is a Southern Colorado native, has been caring for women for over two decades. She worked as a Labor and Delivery Nurse for over 16 years. She transitioned into studying midwifery because as a nurse, she always felt that spending a twelve hour shift with her patient and their families was not enough and wanted to take part in more of their care.

She received her Masters of Science in Nursing with an emphasis on Midwifery in 2010 from University of Colorado- Denver. Jennifer cares for women of all ages especially in the areas of well women exams, family planning, including all forms of birth control, breast exams and specifically obstetrical care. She provides care to women during the entire course of their pregnancy and postpartum. Outside of work, she enjoys spending her free time with her two children and husband in Colorado’s great outdoors. They are active in the local 4-H organization and soccer community.

Sara M. Tonsing, M.D.

Dr. Tonsing was born and raised in Ohio, where she graduated from the College of Wooster. She then followed in her father's and grandfather's steps by going into medicine. After working as faculty there for a year, she moved to Pueblo with her husband and joined Associates in Women's Health care in 1989. They have raised three sons. In her time outside the office, Dr. Tonsing enjoys cooking, reading, and playing with her dogs.

Stephen Wassinger, M.D.

Dr. Stephen Wassinger joined Associates in Women's Health Care in 2007. As Pueblo's only Urogynecologist who is Board Certified in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Wassinger brings a high level of expertise in treating incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and bladder conditions. Dr. Wassinger was in private practice for 10 years in his hometown of Grand Island, Nebraska before relocating to Pueblo. He is kept busy outside of work by spending time with his wife and three sons, and enjoying all Colorado has to offer.

Amy Yuan, D.O.

Dr. Amy Yuan was born in China but spent most of her childhood in Charlotte, North Carolina. During her medical training she found a special place in her heart for providing international medical relief and care to the under-served, which lead to her participation in several medical trips both overseas and directly within her community. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, snowboarding, music, photography, delicious food, and traveling. She loves the sunshine, fresh air, and mountains that Colorado has to offer and is excited to continue her journey in this great state!
